Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Chakra-puncture the same as Acupuncture?
A: Chakra-puncture has a very different energetic philosophy and technique to acupuncture. As a client the experience of receiving chakra-puncture is also very different to acupuncture. The only similarity is in the type of needle used in treatment, a chakra-puncture needle is very similar to a Japanese acupuncture needle but much finer than a typical Chinese acupuncture style needle. Q: Are Chakra-puncture Practitioners qualified acupuncturists? A: Chakra-puncture practitioners are not qualified acupuncturists as these are 2 separate professions requiring 2 different qualifications. However many acupuncturists have retrained in chakra-puncture with approximately half of the chakra-puncture clinicians world wide having some sort of Oriental Medicine background. Q: Does CP cure illness and disease? A: Chakra-puncture is an energetic healing modality that brings order and restoration to our being which in turn has an effect on our physical body. It is never a cure but always a support for our body’s natural healing capacity. Q: Is it safe? A: YES – Chakra-puncture by design is an extremely safe healing modality. All practitioners adhere to strict safety guidelines set out by our accrediting body that ensures above and beyond measures of the current local, state and federal safety guidelines. All needles are single use, disposable with guide tube insertion. A Safety Study on Chakra-puncture found that no adverse affects were experienced during the application of 10365 needles. Clients are encouraged to talk to their practitioners about the safety procedures of their particular practice. Q: Do CP Practitioners re-use needles? A: NO – Chakra-puncture practitioners do not re-use needles. Each needle is placed directly into a sharps container after use. |
Q: Does it hurt?
A: The depth of insertion required is only 0.2- 0.5 mm and delivered with a single light touch, there is little sensation felt. There is no need to manipulate the needles once they are inserted and in no way is energy from the practitioner imposed or used to exert influence on the body or its energy centers. Common experiences of chakra-puncture insertion are: no sensation whatsoever, a slight tap felt on insertion or on occasion a very slight sting sensation that is generally not uncomfortable. Q: Is it science based? A: Chakra-puncture is founded on an energetic science, that considers wellness from an energetic perspective, and from this perspective ‘The Science of The Nadis’ (the Science of our living energetic cells) is the foundational science of our energetic make-up. All clients are encouraged to use the most fundamental science available to all of us, which is the science of observation of our how own bodies feel and respond to treatment, life, food, sleep, work, rest, relationships, in fact everything. Chakra-puncture practitioners are currently involved in many research projects and are collaborating with research groups to create a database of clinical research. Q: Is CP Complementary to my medical treatments? A: Chakra-puncture is a complementary medicine modality with all qualified and accredited chakra-puncture practitioners working with a client and their medical practitioners. Many GP’s, medical specialists, physiotherapists, nurses and midwives refer to chakra-puncture practitioners as a way to complement the medical treatment they are receiving. |
