  Chakra-puncture

Chakra-puncture

Hygiene & Safety

Chakra-puncture (CP) is a modality taught and practiced in accordance to all Federal and State laws and Regulations and Codes of Practice regarding safety and hygiene. Each needle is used only once - there is no needle recycling which means that your needle is only for you, used only once. Each needle is opened from a sterile package shortly before use, thus ensuring hygiene and safety is maintained. The tips of the needles are never touched or ‘flexed’ by fingers so they remain sterile from the packet to your body. Needles that are dropped on the floor or fall off are never re-inserted; this ensures the hygiene of needles entering your body.  All containers holding needles are smooth and disinfected.
Each clinic has needle disposal facilities in strict accordance with government regulations.  All needles are disposed of in appropriate ‘sharps’ containers. All Chakra-puncture premises are clean and well lit, and surfaces are clean in accordance with government regulations.

Practitioner hand hygiene is of utmost importance and is taught and maintained in accordance with National Hand Hygiene Regulation.  Practitioners are instructed in safe hand washing practices to Australian standards and are required to clean with soap and hands are sterilised between clients with an alcohol-based hand wash.

Towels and linen are changed for each client which means that your linen is fresh for you and has been sterilized in accordance with government regulations to ensure hygiene.
Chakra-puncture is safe and hygienic . . . Chakra-puncture uses a very safe needling technique. The finest Japanese style needles are used and they are very flexible meaning that they cannot enter the body deeply, or without the aid of the sterile plastic protective sheath, and are designed to only enter a small distance into the skin . . .
Most people do not even feel the needles when they enter because they are so fine and inserted with such delicateness! This is of great re-assurance to people who are understandably needle phobic. Please note, that simply because needles that are similar to acupuncture, and other needling therapies, are used does not mean that Chakra-puncture is a form of acupuncture. The two are completely different in their effect on the body and working points, they simply use the same tools. Chakra-puncture is not derived from acupuncture, and is not related to the technique of acupuncture, which is based on meridians: it is a completely different technique.

The fineness of the needles (0.14mm) is something that is unique to Chakra-puncture. Needles that are thicker and longer, designed to penetrate the body tissues are never used in Chakra-puncture. Only fine and delicate needles are used in the technique of Chakra-puncture. Chakra-puncture needles do not enter more than 0.2 – 0.5 mm, deliberately so, and thus there is no risk of damage to any deeper structures or tissues such as tendons, muscles or internal organs. Its important to note that needles do not need to enter to a depth in the body to have an effect on the body’s energy, which is what Chakra-puncture aims to address and thus the needles are entered to the smallest depth to have an impact, minimising potential discomfort to you.

Chakra-puncture needles are never inserted into any damaged or wounded tissue and are not inserted into areas where there are major arteries or veins.

Every effort is made to ensure that you are comfortable in the treatment room, supported on the table, and kept warm. All premises where Chakra-puncture is practiced are registered in accordance with local state laws.

Chakra-puncture is never administered for untreated medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Chakra-puncture is a complement to and never to be used instead of  any medical treatment.

Chakra-puncture is not an alternative for the treatment of medical conditions and does not treat mental health conditions. Medical attention is required for all medical conditions and suspected mental health conditions before Chakra-puncture treatment will be commenced.
